We’re looking for a Technical AdOps specialist to join our Ad Operations team that is operating within our Smart Supply business unit. You’ll own curated PMP setup and optimization across SSPs, monitor and grow buyer adoption, lead A/B tests, and turn technical findings into actionable playbooks and activation guides.

Responsibilities

  • Build, run, and optimize curated PMP deals across multiple SSPs (MSFT Curate, Pubmatic, OpenX, Index Exchange, etc.) for DSP buyers, ensuring proper setup, effective delivery, achievement of KPIs, and ongoing profitability. Analyze buyer trends and identify opportunities to maximize buyer effectiveness and deal ROI.
  • Proactively monitor buyer availability across relevant tools to identify new high-potential buyers and expand the list of buyers to whom we are sending curated deals.
  • Analyze live deal activity and buyer behavior, track optimization measures, document outcomes, and provide clear, concise status updates to stakeholders and the executive team.
  • Conduct audits of PMP deals and buyer activity. Provide timely support to the AdOps team with optimizations, technical troubleshooting of curated PMP deals, and recommendations to improve performance and profitability.
  • Explore innovative ways to improve deal profitability and scalability.
  • Serve as an internal expert on best practices for optimizing curated deals, including targeting strategies, pricing, and gathering actionable inventory insights.
  • Lead testing initiatives: design test hypotheses, plan and run A/B tests across platforms (SSPs, DSPs, DMPs, etc.), capture and document results, and publish insights to inform operational processes, product teams, and new product initiatives.
  • Explore and evaluate new advertising platforms, test their capabilities, and assess integration potential.
  • Lead the technical onboarding of new platforms (SSPs, DMPs, ad-serving and verification tools), ensuring a smooth handling of all technical aspects.
  • Write clear, concise documentation and instructions for platform integrations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest tools and technologies in the digital advertising space to drive continuous optimization.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our internal knowledge base and team best practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical experience in programmatic advertising, with a focus on the technical setup of campaigns and deals.
  • Proven experience working with SSPs (Pubmatic, Index Exchange, MSFT Curate, OpenX, TripleLift, Magnite, etc.) and DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, Yahoo, Xandr Invest, Amazon DSP, Eskimi, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem. Experience with third-party trackers and VAST tags is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, and scripting (for ads automation).
  • Experience with traffic verification systems (e.g., IAS, DoubleVerify, MOAT) and interpreting quality/suitability signals.
  • Ability to design and run test plans (A/B, holdout, KPI definition), document results, and write clear case studies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills focused on technical issues and campaign optimization.
  • A proactive and reliable team player, comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset and confidence working with large datasets.
